Store Valet-Storage Center Opens in NYC

A new valet self-storage center called Store has opened on the Upper East Side of New York City (NYC). Owned and operated by Box Dock LLC, the business allows customers to bring their items to its location at 1290 3rd Ave. or schedule pickup at their home or business, according to a press release.

“We saw a real need for an affordable storage NYC option on the Upper East Side and knew we would be able to execute our plan to create one that was a win-win for all involved,” a Store spokesperson said.

Items are kept in a climate-controlled facility equipped with keycode access and video cameras. The company uses an online platform that allows customers to schedule free item pickup and delivery from 69th to 79th Streets, between Second and Lexington Avenues. There’s a $40 charge for delivery outside this area. In-store drop-off is free, while staging for in-store pickup is $15.

Rental pricing is based on the amount of space needed and begins at $6 per month, the release stated. Tenant-protection plans are available starting at $9 per month.
