SelfStorageAdvisor.com Launches Online Marketplace for Small, Independent Operators

SelfStorageAdvisor.com, an online marketplace and national facility directory, was recently launched to connect consumers with independent self-storage operators. The platform allows prospective tenants to search for providers by location, compare prices and reserve units. It also offers phone, text or online chat support to help ease the reservation process, according to a press release.

The Philadelphia-based website was created by Matt Lang, CEO, and Chris Martinez, chief marketing officer. The partners wanted to “level the playing field, so independent operators could compete at the local, regional, and national level,” the release stated.

“We want to help small to medium self-storage businesses succeed in an industry that is facing growing consolidation,” Lang said. “This platform provides best-in-class marketing technology to supply the tools necessary for operators to meet their goals in today’s competitive environment. Self Storage Advisor supports the operator and customer alike.”

“For a long time, large platforms have overpowered the small operator with sophistication and scale, growing bigger and bigger,” added Martinez. “We wanted to create a platform that catered to the smaller operators.”
