Janus International Group, a global manufacturer and supplier of building solutions and technology for the self-storage industry, has made organizational changes to its Nokē Inc. division, which creates smart-technology locking solutions. Alessandro Araldi has been hired as president of Nokē and will also serve as Janus’ head of corporate strategy. In addition, Christine DeBord has been named chief commercial officer for Nokē, while Sanjay Khinvasara joins the division as senior vice president of engineering, according to a press release.

Araldi, who brings more than two decades of experience to his role, will report directly to CEO Ramey Jackson. Araldi was most recently with Honeywell International Inc., where he held leadership roles in high-growth business lines including building technologies and security. He was also a partner at CSK Venture Capital Co., where he supported the funding and development of early-stage technology companies. In addition, he was previously head of product development for Texas Instruments and a member of the high-tech and telecommunications practice at The Boston Consulting Group Inc.

“Alessandro brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in leading global cross-functioning teams that we will draw upon as we execute the next stage of growth for our Nokē smart-entry business,” Jackson said. “His years of successfully innovating products that technologically transform industries and improve user experiences is a great match for the exceptional runway ahead for our Nokē solutions.”

DeBord joined Janus in 2018 and has served in various leadership positions. As chief commercial officer, she’ll oversee Nokē marketing, sales and customer-support functions.

Khinvasara was most recently with Fiserv Inc., a financial-services technology firm, where he held several high-ranking positions including vice president of product development, strategic programs leader and senior director of delivery and engagement. He has more than 20 years of experience in product software delivery.

Janus acquired Nokē in 2018.

Headquartered in Temple, Georgia, and founded in 2002, Janus is a global manufacturer and supplier of turnkey commercial, industrial and self-storage building solutions including roll-up and swing doors, hallway systems, relocatable storage units, and facility- and door-automation technologies. The company operates out of several U.S. locations and six international offices.
