PTI Security Systems Unveils StorID Smart-Lock Management App for Self-Storage Facilities

PTI Security Systems, a provider of access-control technologies for the self-storage industry, unveiled StorID, a tenant-facing, smart-lock management app. It currently only supports the company’s ProEdge smart lock; however, it’ll soon become the next-generation app used for all PTI products, according to a press release.
Available for Android and iOS devices, StorID allows tenants to access their self-storage unit and share digital keys with others, with configurable lockout for failed access attempts.
Additional features include:
Branding options allowing facility operators to include their logo, contact and location details
Simplified login using facial recognition or email/password combination
The ability to view all access points from a single tab
Intuitive user interface with operational animations
Tenant access to pay monthly rent
Before tenants can use StorID, a PTI dealer must commission the self-storage facility’s ProEdge latches using the company’s StorSynx mobile app. This connects the smart lock to the StorLogix Cloud system. Once that’s complete, the facility operator can send their customers a link to enroll.
PTI manufactures technology-enabled security solutions for self-storage operations. Its product line includes access-control hardware and software, wired and wireless door alarms, and mobile-access solutions. The company has installed more than 40,000 systems in 30-plus countries, according to its website. It’s part of the ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions portfolio of brands.
