West Coast Self-Storage Group (WCSSG), which operates 64 facilities primarily in the Pacific Northwest, is collecting personal protective equipment (PPE) and related items at each of its locations through May 15. The drive aims to gather disinfecting wipes, gloves, hand sanitizer, masks and other critical supplies needed by frontline healthcare workers and first responders in high-risk environments battling the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

“We are asking our communities to come together to help us put these essential items into the hands of caregivers during this national shortage, so they can remain healthy and on the job,” company officials said in a press release. “In order to maintain proper social distancing, donation boxes will be located outside of our office doors during normal business hours.”

WCSSG is an acquisition, development and property-management company headquartered in Everett, Wash. Its portfolio of managed and owned properties includes 48 sites in Washington, eight in Oregon and eight in California.
