Moove In Self Storage, which operates 55 facilities across six states, has hired Robert “Rob” Harnsberger as district manager. He’ll oversee site-level staffing tasks such as employee hiring, training and evaluations across the company’s portfolio, according to a press release. He’ll also review rental pricing and competition surveys, and handle contracting for security, maintenance and landscaping services. Additional duties will include preparing property budgets and expense reports, and conducting operational reviews to manage financial controls and gauge property performance.

Prior to joining Moove In, Harnsberger was an area manager for Life Storage Inc., a self-storage real estate investment trust (REIT) and management company. He also worked for ezStorage Corp. and REIT Public Storage Inc. as a district manager.

“Rob’s extensive experience in the self-storage industry, especially in a high-level managerial role, has equipped him with the skills to be successful in this role,” said Brian Foran, Moove In’s vice president of operations. “I believe our property and relief managers will benefit from his expertise, and I look forward to seeing him grow as part of the Moove In team.”

Founded in 1998, Moove In is managed by the Investment Real Estate Group of Companies. Its portfolio spans Connecticut, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. It’s a participating regional operator of real estate investment trust National Storage Affiliates Trust, which has a self-storage portfolio of 68.4 million rentable square feet across 42 states and Puerto Rico.
