BlueBox Storage, a Salem, Ore.-based mobile-storage operator, plans to expand service to the Eugene and Portland, Ore., markets. Growing local demand prompted the decision to grow the company’s footprint in the state, according to a press release.
BlueBox recently opened a container-based self-storage facility in Salem at 4725 Turner Road S.E. The business offers steel containers with 160 square feet of storage space. The units have double swing doors and are rated for up to 10,000 pounds. The company markets its containers as rodent-proof and waterproof.
Being locally owned and operated is an advantage over competitors that use central call centers and may be franchised, company officials said. “We value the customer experience. In fact, each customer communicates directly with our delivery personnel making delivery and logistics go as smooth as possible.”
BlueBox customers can choose between self-storage or portable-storage options. The company’s facility offers gated access and camera surveillance.
