Inside Self-Storage Has a New Website! Get Details and Tips on Using the Fresh Design

If you’re reading this, you’ve probably noticed some changes to the Inside Self-Storage website this week. As part of a corporatewide initiative, we’ve migrated to a new platform, which is designed to improve reader engagement and provide more content. Our URL, insideselfstorage.com, remains the same, but the new site offers more robust features and simplified navigation. In addition, we’ve beefed up security, and you should experience faster load times.

No doubt, the first thing you noticed was the new look. Though this can always be a little disorienting after a change, careful considerations have been made to provide a better experience on your desktop, tablet and mobile device.

Homepage

For starters, the homepage is much more robust than the previous site. You’ll find a dynamic slot for industry news in the top left portion of the page, which will update as new items are published. To the right, you’ll find some of our most recently published feature articles on a variety of industry subjects.

As you scroll down, you can see trending articles being read by your colleagues as well as other news and features arranged by industry topic and content type including the latest Self-Storage TV videos, galleries and blog posts.

You’ll also find callout boxes to draw attention to special features and easy signup to our weekly newsletter.

Navigation and Resources

To help you move around the site and find content relevant to however you’re connected to the self-storage industry, you’ll find an array of pertinent topics in the top navigation bar plus an all-new “mega menu” accessible by clicking on the three-line icon on the far left, under the ISS logo.

The mega menu is a great place to go directly to any of our content topics pages as well as access the ISS online Buyer’s Guide, annual Top-Operators Lists and Best of Business campaign information. You’ll also find links to our industry events calendar, webinars, whitepapers and other helpful resources.

Enhanced Security

As often happens when an online property moves to a new platform, there is a new security protocol. The website will continue to offer free content and resources without logging in, though premium assets will continue to be gated and require you to log in to your account.

As part of the launch, you may have received an email from ISS prompting you to reset your password on the new site. This is standard procedure. The update process is simple and should take only a minute or two to complete. Please refer to your email for detailed instructions.

Alternatively, the new website also allows you to log in using your LinkedIn, Google or Facebook credentials.
