Storage Post Self Storage has initiated a complimentary shuttle service at its Long Island City location, providing customers with one free trip per month to and from the facility in lieu of taking cabs or other public transportation. This service, available to tenants who rent space at 30-28 Star Ave., includes roundtrip transportation in the Storage Post courtesy shuttle, a Chrysler Town & Country minivan. Customers are delivered to their unit and returned home when their visit is complete.

"The idea for the storage shuttle arose when we noticed that many of our clientele were taking cabs or other public transportation just to pick up an item from their storage unit. To make sure everyone receives the best service, we decided to create an easier way for customers to retrieve items, said Pete Gioiello, vice president of operations.

All tenants can use the shuttle service, but Storage Post recommends making arrangements in advance to avoid overbooking.
