Lahrdozzi Storage LLC recently opened a self-storage facility at 264 Lake St. Plaza in Penn Yan, N.Y. Owners Chad Lahr and Ron Nardozzi converted a vacant building into 14,000 square feet of storage space. The company was accepting reservations on 45 units while working to complete renovations this week, according to the source. A ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the opening will be held in the future.
“There used to be an old Ames in the plaza, about 14,000 square feet, and everything was just dilapidated inside,” Lahr told the source.
The business came into fruition in part from a $50,000 loan from the Finger Lakes Economic Development Center, an agency dedicated to the promotion and growth of Yates County, N.Y. Lahr and Nardozzi are leasing the space, the source reported.
In addition to traditional self-storage, Lahrdozzi offers climate-controlled space, and boat and vehicle storage.
