Schur Success Auction & Appraisal Inc., a Colorado Springs, Colo.-based company that conducts auctions at more than 100 Colorado self-storage facilities, will donate $2 to the Wounded Warrior Project for every self-storage unit it sells in the fourth quarter of 2011. The company is also accepting donations from auction bidders.

"So far, we raised more than $800, and we're looking forward to writing them a check this Christmas with some zeros in it, said Shannon Schur, president and CEO. Her company auctions an average of 80 storage units each month.

The Wounded Warrior Project is a non-profit organization that supports U.S. soldiers injured in combat. Its mission is to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members, to help injured service members assist themselves and each other, and to provide unique programs and services that meet the needs of soldiers and their families.

"Our bidders have been supporting us, as many are veterans. They have been very generous with their donations as well, said Schur. "Other auctioneers we know across the country have told us they were going to run similar campaigns. We're very excited to make a difference.

Founded in Arvada, Colo., nearly 30 years ago by Ray Fenter, Schur Success is Colorados largest onsite auction company. It is the exclusive auctioneer for the City & County of Denver and a member of the Colorado Auctioneers Association, the National Auctioneer Association, the Southern Colorado Better Business Bureau and the Colorado Self Storage Association.
