StorageBlue LLC, which operates five self-storage facilities in New Jersey, has been named to “Inc.” magazine’s list of 5,000 fastest-growing private companies for 2020. It ranked No. 4,970 overall and No. 309 in the Consumer Products and Services category, with 55 percent year-over-year growth in revenue, according to a press release.

The annual Inc. 5000 list identifies the private companies with “the most proven track records,” ranked by revenue growth. Companies on the 2020 list account for $209.7 billion in revenue, according to the Inc. website. StorageBlue ranked just behind government-services company VersaTech and ahead of financial-services firm Guaranteed Rate Cos. Software company OneTrust ranked No. 1 with 48,337 percent growth. Rounding out the top five were two health-related businesses, a media company and a telecommunications firm.

“This is undoubtedly a great achievement our entire StorageBlue family is very proud of,” said Alan Mruvka, founder and CEO of StorageBlue. “We’re excited for everyone to learn more about StorageBlue’s brand and why our customers consistently rank us No. 1, with more innovative ideas and growth to come!”

StorageBlue intends to open five to 10 new locations annually for the next five years. It currently operates facilities in Garfield, Hoboken, Jersey City, Newark and Union City. In addition to self-storage, it offers U-Haul truck rentals, moving supplies and a valet-style storage service called StorageBlue Now, which it launched in 2016.
