International Fund Acquires Asian Big Orange Self Storage Fund

Invista Real Estate Investment Management PLC is establishing a fund-management platform and offices in Hong Kong and Singapore. It has also conditionally agreed to acquire the Asian fund-management platform of Babcock & Brown Ltd., which manages the Asian Big Orange Self Storage Fund.

Invista Real Estate Investment Management PLC is establishing a fund-management platform and offices in Hong Kong and Singapore. It has also conditionally agreed to acquire the Asian fund-management platform of Babcock & Brown Ltd., which manages the Asian Big Orange Self Storage Fund. The Invista International Fund is acquiring the Asian Big Orange Self Storage Fund for £12.95 million cash. The acquisition will provide Invista with a small team of experienced fund managers and access to their institutional client investors.
 
Invista is the largest U.K.-listed real estate fund-management group. It manages commercial and residential property across the United Kingdom and Europe, and had £6.3 billion in assets under management as of Dec. 31, 2008.
