Arrests Made After Recovery of Stolen Vehicles and Tools at Longmont, CO, Self-Storage Facility

The discovery of 11 stolen vehicles as well as thousands of dollars in tools at a self-storage facility near Longmont, Colorado, led to the arrest of two suspects allegedly involved in a crime spree across Denver. Officers came upon the stolen items on Sept. 1 when they visited the facility in response to an assault incident involving the suspects, according to sources.

When they arrived at the self-storage location, deputies found two parked vehicles that had been reported stolen from Firestone and Westminster, Colorado. They were near a unit rented by one of the suspects. While executing a search warrant, investigators recovered a stolen trailer and nine more vehicles valued at $113,000, and $140,725 worth of tools and other items, the sources reported. The property, including vehicles taken from Denver International Airport, has been linked to more than a dozen theft cases in several cities.

Jose Martinez-Gallegos, 26, is being held at the Weld County Jail on $63,000 bond on three cases unrelated to the recent investigation. Graciela Mosqueda, 23, is in police custody at Adams County Jail on charges unrelated to the recent thefts. Both will likely face additional charges, the sources reported.
