StorTrack Launches ‘Explorer’ Platform for Self-Storage Market Analytics

StorTrack, a provider of market intelligence and related services for the self-storage industry, has launched “Explorer,” an online platform designed to replace and enhance the company’s MarketView research tool. A three-tiered subscription service—offering free, basic and upgraded options—gives users access to an interactive map and market data from more than 58,000 existing self-storage facilities and about 2,000 development projects across Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States, according to a press release.

The free subscription limits the scope of the Explorer mapping tool to a 10-mile radius, though it allows users to view population metrics, net rentable square footage, square feet per capita, average rates per square foot, and facility names and addresses. The basic paid subscription adds rental-rate trends, development activity, data on new supply and detailed facility information. Full-market reports are available for an additional fee under both options.

Finally, the upgraded subscription allows users to look at data on a state or national level and includes unlimited full-market reports. It also includes access to additional information such as historical analytics, pricing volatility, tax and loan data, and transaction history.

Launched in 2014, StorTrack serves thousands of self-storage facilities with local pricing data, market-valuation insights, reports and market-analysis tools.
