Self-Storage Services Firm Storable Establishes Global Capability Center in India

Storable, a supplier of various products and services for the self-storage industry, has opened a global capability center (GCC) in Hyderabad, India, to support staff and customers. Storable India will leverage local engineering talent for product development, which should speed the delivery of new company offerings, according to a press release.

“Our team in Hyderabad will be instrumental in our efforts to stay on the leading-edge for innovation,” said CEO Chuck Gordon.

“Our expansion to India is so exciting,” added Charles Marriott, president. “By tapping into the immense talent in Hyderabad, we’ll be able to get new and enhanced features to our customers more quickly.”

To facilitate creation of the new GCC, Storable partnered with Zinnov, a global management-consulting firm that specializes in establishing technology centers and managing global teams. Zinnov is tasked with delivering “accelerated time-to-value outcomes from India,” the release stated.

“Hyderabad’s unique combination of skilled tech talent, global exposure, cultural openness and proactive government involvement makes it an increasingly sought-after destination for GCC setups,” said Nilesh Thakker, managing partner for Zinnov. “Today, the city accounts for 13% of India’s total installed GCC talent [and] has over 12% of all the GCCs in India, and that number is steadily increasing. Storable is positioning itself to remain at the forefront of the self-storage industry and meet the evolving needs of its customer base. It is effectively leveraging the India talent story to establish a strong engineering team in India. We are excited to be working with them on this journey.”

Founded in 2002, Zinnov has nine global offices including three in India.

Based in Austin, Texas, Storable offers cloud-based access control, management software, marketing and website services, payment processing, tenant insurance, and other self-storage products. Its family of companies includes Bader, Easy Storage Solutions, SBOA Merchant Services, Select Merchant Solutions, SiteLink, storEdge and Storsmart. The company is backed by Boston-based private-equity firm Cove Hill Partners, which was founded in 2017 and manages an inaugural fund of more than $1 billion.
