Self-Storage Ninjas, which offers feasibility studies and development consulting to the self-storage industry, is expanding its client base to include flex-warehouse facilities and storage condos. Analysis options include an initial market study or a full feasibility report with data from industry publications, verified statistics and government resources, according to a press release.

“Flex warehouse space (aka light-industrial space), contractor bays and contractor garages, and storage condos are a natural business offshoot for self-storage and boat- and RV-storage facility developers,” said owner and founder Katherine D’Agostino. “Though much of the supporting data—and tenants or buyers—are different than their self-storage and boat- and RV-storage counterparts, our meticulous assessment of the market and through development recommendations allow you to proceed with confidence.”

Depending on the needs of a given market, flex-warehouse units can double as boat/RV-storage units. Other potential business users include artists, brewers, carpenters, manufacturers and mechanics, the release stated.

In a storage-condo business model, the units are owned rather than rented. These spaces are often used for boats, cars, RVs and other vehicles, and can be furnished with mezzanine levels and bathrooms.

D’Agostino’s background includes 24 years of creating and implementing business plans for a range of companies. She also owns and operates facilities under the Storage Ninjas brand.
