Chicago-based self-storage operator LifeStorage has opened a facility in Barrington, Ill. The property at 1455 S. Barrington Road is the companys 28th in the Illinois market. Facility features include climate control, fully furnished office suites, onsite management, digital surveillance and computer-controlled entry.

Chicago-based self-storage operator LifeStorage has opened a facility in Barrington, Ill. The property at 1455 S. Barrington Road is the companys 28th in the Illinois market. Facility features include climate control, fully furnished office suites, onsite management, digital surveillance and computer-controlled entry.

Barrington is an affluent suburban village in Cook and Lake counties, according to Wikipedia. Its comprised of six independent villages in the northernmost part of Chicagos metropolitan area and has a population of about 10,000 people.
In the past year, LifeStorage has converted a 1960s one-story building into a two-story self-storage facility in Harwood Heights, Ill., and opened a facility in Chicagos historic West Loop neighborhood.
Founded in 2002 by owners Jean Jodoin and Christopher Barry, LifeStorage currently has 52 facilities in eight states, with a heavy concentration in the Chicagoland area.
