Improved Illumination is offering three new induction lighting products that can change the installation process, reduce operating costs and minimize the maintenance expense of hi-efficient lighting solutions for the wall pack.
Wall packs are often found attached to the sides of commercial buildings including self-storage facilities. To replace the older, outdated metal halide (MH) or high-pressure sodium fixtures (HPS), the entire fixture needs to be removed and a new fixture installed. The cost was high, the rate on investment was low and the standard payback was long.
Improved Illumination now offers three retro-fit screw-in electrodes less magnetic induction lamps. The 80w, 100w and 120w energy-efficient lamps and ballast can be used in a variety of long-run time, high-wattage lights, said Jim Feeney, managing director of Improved Illumination. The stable operation and flicker-free instant on and hot re-strike are additional benefits customers love. The high-conversion efficiency universal ballast has a servo control circuit to insure constant light output even when input voltages vary by +/- 10 percent.
The screw-in lamps reduce installation costs and require 50 percent less energy to run when compared to MH and HPS lamps, Feeney said. With a long lifespan of 60,000 hours, at 10 to 12 hours usage a day, these lamps will last 12 to 16 years."
Based near Boston, Improved Illumination provides exterior and interior lighting solutions to commercial, industrial and government clients.
