Final Phase Completed at Moove In Self Storage of Quarryville, PA

Moove In Self Storage, which operates 17 facilities in Maryland and Pennsylvania, has completed the final phase of its facility in Quarryville, Pa. The project at 950 Lancaster Pike began in March. Spurred by demand, the expansion included the construction of 24,425 square feet of storage space in three buildings, nearly doubling the facility’s size, according to a press release from Investment Real Estate Construction LLC (IREC), which built the facility.

The units range in size from 5-by-5 to 10-by-35, with some being temperature-controlled. Several of the 10-by-30 drive-up units include both front- and back-door access.

The phase also included the construction of a new office featuring the brand’s barn façade, large windows and a demonstration unit. Completed in mid-July, it includes a rental counter, bathroom, breakroom and space for a retail store. Additional property improvements included new fencing, paving, exterior lighting and additional video cameras.

“We were excited to construct phase two for the owners of this project, as we built phase one as well,” said John Gilliland, president and CEO of IREC parent company Investment Real Estate LLC (IRE). “There were multiple issues that we had to overcome with phase two. Those included rock. We changed a building design to work around a permit issue to eliminate the need for the permit resubmission. All in all, it was a smooth project delivered on time and under budget.”

Moove In Self Storage operates facilities in Huntingdon, Lancaster and York counties in Pennsylvania. Founded in 1997, the company is locally owned and operated.
