Compass Self Storage LLC, a member of the Amsdell family of companies, has purchased a self-storage facility in Cincinnati, the company’s third acquisition this month. Compass now has six facilities in the greater Cincinnati/North Kentucky area and 56 locations nationwide. The property was purchased by separate affiliates of Amsdell Group LLC and Compass Self Storage LLC and will be rebranded under the Compass name.

The facility at 10925 Hamilton Ave. comprises more than 56,000 net rentable square feet of storage space. Features include drive-up units, climate control, video cameras, electronic access, and a retail center that offers moving and packing supplies. Truck rental will also be available.

"We are proud to expand our presence in the greater Cincinnati market and service the moving and storage needs of our new customers," said Todd Amsdell, president.

Company growth is projected to continue in 2015 with the acquisition and development of storage properties in select markets. Earlier this month, compass acquired two properties in Atlanta and opened a new storage center in Shaker Heights, Ohio. The Shaker Heights property was a former auto dealership the company converted to drive-through self-storage.

Since its inception, the company has been active in several billions of dollars of real estate ventures, with a primary focus on self-storage. It has owned and operated more than 500 storage centers under various trade names in more than 27 states. It currently owns and operates properties in Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Texas.
