Built between 2003 and 2005, it also features eight covered and uncovered vehicle-parking spaces. Plans are underway to update the property’s security system, according to a press release. Amenities include electronic access, truck rental, and a retail center selling moving and packing supplies.

"This state-of-the-art self-storage center expands our footprint in the greater Atlanta market, and offers our new customers additional convenience and with our upgraded services. We will strive to be the one-stop-shop to help with the moving and storage needs in this market," said Todd Amsdell, president.

SureLock was represented in the transaction by Ryan Clark, senior vice president of SkyView Advisors, a commercial real estate firm specializing in self-storage acquisition, development, facility expansion and renovation, refinancing, and sales.

The purchase is the fourth for Compass so far this year. Company growth is projected to continue with the acquisition and development of self-storage properties in select markets, the release stated.

Headquartered in Cleveland, the Amsdell Cos. draws its roots from the family-owned construction company founded in 1928. It has owned and operated more than 500 storage centers under various trade names in more than 27 states.
