Livible Inc., a Seattle-based business specializing in valet-style self-storage, has expanded service to San Francisco. Pickup and delivery are available to business and residential customers within the city as well as the East Bay and Marin County. The move comes after the company secured $16 million in new funding and is part of a larger expansion plan that will add new markets this year, according to a press release.

“We’re delighted to expand to San Francisco,” said Terry Drayton, founder and CEO. “Livible provides the Bay Area with a significantly better storage solution, blending cutting-edge logistics with a user-friendly mobile interface and a friendly, bonded, professionally trained staff. We’re committed to our mission of making storage easy for our customers.”

Livible has also introduced a program designed to help customers sell or donate items they no longer wish to store. The company has partnered with OfferUp, an online marketplace where individuals can buy and sell items. Nonprofits can also “create an ecosystem to make it easier for customers to sell, donate, repurpose and keep items out of a landfill,” the release stated.

Livible uses an online platform that allows customers to schedule free item pickup, maintain an image catalog of stored bins and bulky items, and schedule delivery of belongings to their home or business. The company changed its name from Storrage in 2015. It also provides valet-storage services in Boston, Portland, Ore., and Seattle, including pickup and delivery at some Extra Space Storage Inc. locations.
