A man crashed into a Waco, Texas, self-storage facility Monday morning after shooting a female who was driving in another car, then himself. Both were taken to a nearby hospital, where the man later died and the woman is in critical condition, according to the source.

Police were called to Security Mini Storage at 502 Industrial Blvd. around 8:45 a.m. The incident is still under investigation, and police have yet to determine if the victim and the shooter, 22-year-old Edwin Zavala, had any kind of relationship. The woman’s name has yet to be released.

Driving an older model Chevrolet, Zavala pursued the woman along North 3rd Street, then fired rounds at her before shooting himself. His vehicle then veered into a ravine before crashing through a fence at the storage facility. The car stopped just feet away from several boats and RVs being stored in the yard.

Security Mini Storage offers 471 climate-controlled and drive-up units as well as outdoor vehicle storage.
