Firefighter Injured in St. Helens, OR, Self-Storage Fire

A firefighter was injured on Saturday while battling a blaze at U-Store Self Storage in St. Helens, Oregon. The victim was taken to a local hospital and listed in stable condition, according to the source.
The morning inferno at 445 Port Ave., Suite D damaged a building that contains 40 self-storage units. It took Columbia River Fire & Rescue several hours to get it under control. Port Avenue was closed and residents were asked to avoid the area.
Investigators are determining what caused the conflagration.
U-Store operates 27 locations in Oregon and Washington. It has been locally owned and operated for more than 40 years.
