Self-Storage REIT Life Storage Names Several New Directors

Life Storage Inc., a self-storage real estate investment trust and third-party management company, has named three new directors. The appointments include one promotion and two new hires.

Rita Grandits was promoted to director of customer care. In this role, she’ll oversee the company’s in-house call center, including budget management and quality control. She joined Life Storage in 2015 as a customer-care manager.

Jon Manly was hired as director of revenue management. He has more than 20 years of experience in developing data-science programs. Most recently, he was manager of advanced analytics at Delaware North, a global food-service and hospitality company, where he led the corporate center for analytics-supporting marketing, operations and business development.

Amanda Oldfield was hired as director of human resources (HR). She has more than 20 years of experience in HR, payroll and HR technology. She was senior vice president and HR/integration leader at KeyBank from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, she spent a decade as senior vice president and director of HR shared services for First Niagara Bank.

Based in Buffalo, N.Y., Life Storage operates more than 750 self-storage facilities in 28 states and Ontario, Canada. Its portfolio of owned and managed facilities comprises more than 55 million square feet.
