The Investment Real Estate Group of Cos. (IREGC), which provides brokerage, feasibility, construction, development and property-management services to the self-storage industry, has relocated its headquarters in York, Pennsylvania, to the downtown area. The 43,000-square-foot space at 320 N. George St. will provide for future company expansion, according to the source.

A team of 35 employees will work from the new office. In addition, two vendors that provide mergers-and-acquisitions and internet-marketing support to IREGC will be stationed there.

“I love the energy and hustle and bustle of a thriving city,” said CEO John Gilliland. “The continued revitalization of Downtown York is important to us, and we wanted to contribute to that effort. We were searching for an office space that matched the same energy as our employees and the company. We have found the ideal space for our new headquarters, and everyone is excited to be a part of the downtown scene.”

Founded in 1998, IREGC focuses exclusively on the self-storage industry. The company has been headquartered in York County for 30 years, and has offices in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. It has listed and sold $1 billion of self-storage, managed more than 75 properties in eight states, compiled 250 feasibility studies, and helped clients develop more than 2.5 million square feet, according to its website.
