A man who allegedly broke into a unit at a Paradise, Calif., self-storage facility was captured earlier this month after police discovered his abandoned car, filled with stolen goods, on the storage property. Police officers discovered the suspicious vehicle parked at Colonia Mini Storage on Dec. 6. While searching the site at 5915 Skyway, they found a storage unit had been raided.

The car was registered to Loren Maisler, who wasn’t present when police conducted their investigation. Maisler called police on Dec. 13 to report his car had been stolen. After being brought in for questioning, he was arrested on charges of burglary and perjury. Police believe he concocted the story to hide his involvement in the break-in, the source reported.
