The Inside Self-Storage Las Vegas Expo, Feb. 5-8, 2008, will include a seminar on the preventive measures storage operators can take to protect their business. Halting Attacks on Your Facility: Foreign, Domestic and Legal, will be presented on Feb. 6, 1-2 p.m., by attorney Kenneth M. Piken.
 
Piken will address issues such as Homeland Security, avoiding litigation, how to succeed in Small Claims Court and cooperation with government agencies. This event outlines steps operators can make toward protecting their real estate investments and minimizing attorneys fees.
 
Piken has practiced law for more than 25 years and is the senior partner in New York-based Kenneth Piken & Associates.
