Self-Storage Building Manufacturer Janus Names VP of Business Development for Smart Entry and Facility Automation Division
June 4, 2019
Janus International, a global manufacturer and supplier of building solutions and technology for the self-storage industry, has promoted Christine DeBord to vice president of business development for its Smart Entry and Facility Automation Division. In her new role, DeBord will focus on continued growth and development of the Nokē Smart Entry System and the marketing team for all Janus divisions.
DeBord joined the company in February 2018 as director of marketing. She previously handled marketing and dealer-channel development for PTI Security Systems, a provider of access-control and security solutions for the self-storage industry.
“It has been an absolute thrill to see our solution grow and be so widely adopted in such a short amount of time. Since launching our smart-locking and entry system a little over a year ago, we’ve added nearly 50 team members,” said Terry Bagley, president of DeBord’s new division. “I’m very excited to have Christine formally join the smart-entry division. Her background in self-storage access control and experience as both a marketing and sales leader make her an invaluable asset and perfectly position her for this new role.”
The Nokē Smart Entry System has been installed in nearly 100 self-storage facilities worldwide in just over a year, according to a press release. Additional installations are scheduled by the end of the year.
“Over the past 17 years, we have grown Janus International into the leading global provider of self-storage building and automation solutions,” said Janus CEO David Curtis. “We’ve continued to grow our already world-class executive sales leadership team to drive the company even further. We are poised to lead the organization into the next phase of its growth and success with the best talent in the industry today.”
Headquartered in Temple, Ga., and founded in 2002, Janus is a global manufacturer and supplier of roll-up and swing doors, hallway systems, and re-locatable storage units for the self-storage industry. It also has a technology division designed to help self-storage operators automate facility operation, improve security, and create a more convenient customer experience. It operates 10 U.S. locations as well as manufacturing facilities in Europe and Mexico.
