Self-Storage Building Supplier MakoRabco Welcomes New Vice President of Construction

MakoRabco, a nationwide supplier of buildings and construction-related services for the self-storage and boat/RV-storage industries, has hired Dan Schwanz as vice president of construction for its East Coast operations. He’ll bolster leadership and strengthen the company’s safety programs, according to a press release. He’ll also keep tabs on the overall efficiency of the construction operations, including project management and execution.

Schwanz has 16 years of self-storage experience. Most recently, he was project manager for Life Storage LP, a self-storage real estate investment trust and management company. In this role, he was responsible for contract negotiations, construction management, safety, and project management of light-gauge steel structures.

MakoRabco specializes in self-storage and boat/RV-storage building design, supply and installation. The company formed in March when Mako Steel Inc., founded in 1993, and Rabco Enterprises LLC, founded in 1988, joined forces. The company operates from offices in Carlsbad, California, and Winter Garden, Florida.
