PTI Security Systems Announces Product Integrations With Self Storage Manager, SteelBlue

PTI Security Systems, a provider of access-control technologies for the self-storage industry, has announced product integrations with technology firm Self Storage Manager Inc. (SSM) and SteelBlue Building Components LLC, a manufacturer of roll-up doors and hallway systems.

PTI’s StorLogix Cloud access-control software will now integrate with SSM property-management software, providing self-storage users with a single-page dashboard that details activity from both systems. “This pilot integration for SSM and PTI marks the beginning of a partnership to develop the most cohesive end-to-end system for operator use, leveraging combined data to help operators reduce expenses and increase revenue,” PTI officials said in a press release.

“Not only does this integration bring access-control metrics and actions into the property-management system, but this also marks the start of a roadmap where an operator will soon be able to make decisions based onsite activity, [such as] frequency of visits, duration of visits, etc.,” said Rohan Shenoy, president of SSM.

PTI will also integrate its ProEdge Bluetooth smart latch with SteelBlue’s 9530 Series roll-up door. The latches will be added to doors prior to job-site delivery to streamline installation and configuration, the release stated. The integrated products will be available during the first quarter of 2024.

“PTI’s goal is to provide operators with the most door-level security options to fit their individual needs, should it be retrofitting existing facilities or building new,” said Ryan Stewart, vice president of sales for PTI.

PTI manufactures technology-enabled security solutions. Its product line includes access-control hardware and software, wired and wireless door alarms, and mobile-access solutions. The company has installed more than 40,000 systems in 30-plus countries. It is part of Assa Abloy AB, a Swedish access-control provider.

SSM produces facility-management software for self-storage facilities that offers customer-relationship-management and call-tracker modules, online reservations and rentals, and other features.

Founded in 2021, SteelBlue is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with its manufacturing plant in Georgetown, Kentucky. It offers a variety of doors and hallway systems for the self-storage industry. Its 9530 series door was designed for quiet operation and quick installation. It has a standard, seamed-panel profile with a patent-pending hood designed to protect it from damage, according to the release.
