Self-storage operators never know what they’ll find in a unit that has gone into lien status. It’s often furniture, tools and boxes of clothes; but along with these everyday items, you might discover documents and personal information such as birth and death certificates, medical records, bank statements, or other sensitive material. In this thread on Self-Storage Talk, members are discussing about how these items should be handled, legally and ethically. What would you do? Join this conversation to read what others think and share your insight.
