Self-Storage Talk (SST), the self-storage industry's largest online community, surpassed the 8,000 member mark this week. The community’s 8,000th member is Northern Canada, a new storage owner in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada.

In addition to its more than 8,000 registered members, SST features approximately 9,259 discussion threads and more than 83,000 posts in 20 topical subforums. Registration is free. SST members include self-storage managers, operators, owners, investors, developers and suppliers. They use the site to discuss a diverse range of topics, from day-to-day management challenges to legal issues to construction-related questions and much more. SST also includes state-specific forums, in which members can communicate about issues and developments within their local areas.

"This is a huge accomplishment for SST," said Amy Campbell, community manager. “The community has grown by leaps and bounds, and continues to be an amazing resource for storage professionals.”

Launched in January 2008, SST is the official forum of Inside Self-Storage, which will celebrate its 25th anniversary next year. The brand’s educational offerings include ISS magazine, the annual ISS Expo, an extensive website and the ISS Store.
