September 6, 2023
Inside Self-Storage (ISS) has published a new online gallery, “10 Guidelines to Consider When Designing Your Next Self-Storage Facility.” The free presentation offers insight for increasing a project’s chances for approval. Readers will learn development strategies to gain community support, win municipal favor and wow customers.
The content was provided by Robin Murphy, owner and principal of Jackson | Main Architecture P.S., which has designed hundreds of self-storage facilities in rural, suburban and dense-urban areas. Murphy is a licensed architect in more than 15 states, with 25-plus years of industry experience. He’s a LEED-accredited professional, and a member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
The digital publication can be viewed in the ISS Resource Center under “Galleries.” Past presentations on other storage-related topics can be viewed through the same page.
For more than 32 years, ISS has provided informational resources for the self-storage industry. Its educational offerings include ISS Magazine, the annual ISS World Expo, an extensive website, the ISS Store, and Self-Storage Talk, the industry’s largest online community.
