ISS Releases New Podcast on Self-Storage Market Conditions, With Advice for Operators

Inside Self-Storage (ISS) has released a new episode in its “Sounds of Storage” podcast series that offers advice on how facility operators should adjust to current market conditions. In this eight-minute interview, Rick Beal and Magen Smith, co-founders of Atomic Storage Group, discuss what’s impacting rental rates and demand, and how they’re addressing market changes in their own operation. Listeners will also get insight to where the industry is likely headed as well as advice for balancing increased costs with diminishing returns in this inflationary environment.
Founded in 2019, Atomic is a third-party management company that also offers facility auditing, feasibility and consulting services. Its operating portfolio of 65 facilities across 20 states comprises more than 2.7 million rentable square feet.
