A self-storage operator shot an alleged burglar at a Grants Pass, Oregon, facility on Saturday night. The shooting at U-Stow-It Mini Storage happened after the operator, an undisclosed male, attempted to make a citizen’s arrest, according to sources.

Officers responded to 1834 Willow Lane around 11:30 p.m. after receiving several calls about someone shouting, “Get down or I’ll shoot!” When they arrived, they discovered 34-year-old Robert Correa Jr. suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers provided life-saving care before Correa was transported to a hospital, where he’s in stable condition, sources report.

The self-storage operator admitted to shooting Correa and said he had feared for his life. Police found evidence of a burglary in progress, and there was no legitimate reason for Correa to be at the facility. The incident is still under investigation and no arrests have been made.
