Skeletal Remains Found at Self-Storage Construction Site in Orlando, FL

Skeletal remains were discovered at a self-storage development site in Orlando, Florida. Construction workers called authorities about 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday when human bones were found while prepping the property at 6205 W. Colonial Drive in the Pine Hills neighborhood. The land is owned by developer West Colonial Storage Associates LLC (WCSA), according to the source.

The site is targeted for a three-story, 91,000-square-foot self-storage facility. The water-management district issued an environmental-resource permit in May, which allowed the developer to begin construction on a stormwater-management system, the source reported.

Previous owner Ramdat Saroop sold the property to WCSA in January for $835,000. Saroop owned at least a portion of the land for more than 17 years.

Authorities haven’t identified the body or cause of death. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

WCSA is affiliated with Jonathan Dorman, who’s principal of StorCon Development LLC. Dorman is also principal of Toronto-based Bluebird Self Storage.
