Alternative Self Storage Hosts Charity Yard Sale in Schenectady, NY

Alternative Self Storage Inc. of Schenectady, N.Y., is hosting its first charity yard sale on June 8. All proceeds from the community event, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 296 Morris Road will benefit Street Soldiers III Schenectady, a grassroots organization that provides meals and essentials to the homeless. It’ll include local vendors, music, food and raffles. Attendees are also encouraged to donate non-perishable food items.

Street Soldiers was founded in 2016 by Renee and Mike Fahey from their home. They used their garage to store items and their own vehicles to transport donations, according to their Facebook profile.

Family-owned and -operated, Alternative Self Storage also offers executive suites, and warehouse and vehicle storage. It’s owned by president Terry Copeland and a partner.
