STORExpress Self Storage Launches ‘Operation: Kind Heart’
December 18, 2019
STORExpress Self Storage, which operates one facility in Ohio and nine in Western Pennsylvania, launched its own charitable program, “Operation: Kind Heart,” this holiday season. The mission is to “help shine light in their communities through random acts of kindness and encourage anyone else who has the ability to pay it forward to someone else,” according to a press release.
As a company, STORExpress completed 40 random acts of kindness in the last few months. These included collecting and donating goods to a local food bank, donating pet supplies to an animal shelter, and delivering muffins to staff at a local school. The company also encouraged its customers to participate.
“If we can change just one person's mood or create a more positive outlook on life, we have succeeded,” said Jessica Casto, director of marketing. “We want to encourage others that kindness can be spread with a simple action. From bringing coffee to our local crossing guards to leaving scarves in the park, the possibilities to brighten one’s day are endless.”
Founded in 1998, STORExpress offers climate-controlled and vehicle storage, art studios, office space, band-rehearsal rooms, and more. Its portfolio comprises more than 1.3 million net rentable square feet, and it has two sites under development in Pennsylvania
