Self-Storage Supplier Janus International Named a Top Small-Cap Company by ‘Forbes’ Magazine

Janus International Group, a global manufacturer and supplier of building solutions and access-control technology for the self-storage industry, has been named to “Forbes” magazine’s list of “America’s Most Successful Small-Cap Companies” for 2024. Janus placed No. 24 out of 100 total companies on the list and sixth of the 14 businesses in the construction-industry category.

“I am incredibly proud that through the hard work and dedication of our team, and the loyalty of our customers, we have been recognized as a ‘Forbes’ top small-cap company for 2024,” said Janus CEO Ramey Jackson in a press release. “This achievement speaks to the trusting relationship we have fostered with our shareholders, business partners and customers all over the world, and is well-deserved recognition for the amazing work being done by everyone within our Janus family.”

To compile the list, “Forbes” screened nearly 1,000 companies with market values between $300 million and $2 billion. It based its rankings on earnings growth, sales growth, return on equity and total stock return for the most recent 12 months available as well as the last five years. More weight was given to the latest year’s data, according to the publication’s website.

The top-ranked company on the list is glassmaker Tecnoglass. Other recognizable names include coconut water retailer Vita Coco at No. 17 and Build-A-Bear Workshop at No. 74. Businesses across 22 industry categories are represented.

Headquartered in Temple, Georgia, and founded in 2002, Janus is a global manufacturer and supplier of turnkey commercial, industrial and self-storage building solutions including roll-up and swing doors, hallway systems, relocatable storage units, and facility- and door-automation technologies. The company operates out of several U.S. locations and seven international offices.
