Self-Storage Real Estate Firm Spartan Investment Group Receives 2 Workplace Awards

Spartan Investment Group, a privately held real estate firm specializing in self-storage, has received two workplace awards. “Inc.” magazine honored the company with a position on its annual 100 list of “Best Workplaces for 2022,” and the “Denver Business Journal” (DBJ) named Spartan a “Best Place to Work” honoree this year, according to a press release.

The “Inc.” list honors companies that have excelled in creating exceptional workplaces and company culture. This year’s judging considered the increase in virtual workplaces as well as those with in-office staff. Spartan placed in the real estate category.

The company ranked fourth on the DBJ list, in the small-business category. Staff for each company are asked to complete an employee-engagement survey that measures 10 categories including compensation and benefits, team effectiveness, and feeling valued. Nominated firms must reach a minimum level of team participation to be eligible as a finalist.

“The fact that Spartan has earned not one, but two workplace honors is a testament to our focus on living by our mission, vision, values and creed,” said Spartan CEO Scott Lewis. “We’ve built a culture focused on our values, guided by our creed, which provides opportunities for our team to grow as individuals, support other teammates in their growth, and achieve goals both personally and professionally.”

Founded in 2014 and based in Golden, Colorado, Spartan syndicates investor capital to develop real estate. Its network of more than 5,000 investors has raised more than $140 million to amass its self-storage portfolio across 10 states. The company also has interests in luxury condos and RV parks.
