California Self Storage Association Announces 2024 Officers and Board Members

The California Self Storage Association (CSSA) has elected new officers for its 2024 board of directors and welcomed two new board members. The new executive committee is:

  • Chairman: Mike Gong, area vice president, Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.

  • Vice chairman: Gary Sugarman, principal and chief operating officer, The William Warren Group

  • Treasurer: Byung Cho, director of acquisitions and development, Metropolitan Investments LLC

  • Secretary: Nathan McElmurry, head of storage acquisitions, InSite Property Group

  • Immediate past chair: Nick Walker, vice chairman of self-storage investment properties, CBRE Group Inc.

The new board members are:

  • Steve Cobbs, transactions for North America, Invesco Real Estate

  • Christina Rita, chief operating officer, StoragePRO Management Inc.

Returning board members are:

  • David Edward, owner, Ojai Oil Co./Golden State Storage

  • Pedro Florida, chief operation officer, Trojan Storage

  • Matt Garibaldi, president, Storage Star

  • Tosha Giuffrida, vice president of operations, Derrel's Mini Storage

  • Kristen Harris, president, Tierra Corp.

  • Jeff Higashi, president of the western division, Janus International Group

  • Ryan Lorenzini, director, The Claremont Cos.

  • Josh Miller, owner, Storland Self Storage

CSSA is a nonprofit trade association dedicated to supporting the self-storage industry in California. The group offers educational events, networking opportunities, legislative advocacy and more.
