After a day of celebrations, including an evening gala, President Barack Obama is ready for work. Obama began the first full day of his presidency with a prayer service at the National Cathedral in northwest Washington. He is expected to meet with his economic team and top brass from the Pentagon.

After a day of celebrations, including an evening gala, President Barack Obama is ready for work.

Obama began the first full day of his presidency with a prayer service at the National Cathedral in northwest Washington. He is expected to meet with his economic team and top brass from the Pentagon.

In accordance with his campaign promises, Obama will meet with the top U.S. officers to discuss a plan to have combat forces out of Iraq in 16 months, an adviser said.
