Self-Storage REIT Life Storage Hires FedEx Executive to Lead Warehouse Anywhere

Self-storage real estate investment trust Life Storage Inc. has hired Steve Syverson as vice president of business services for its subsidiary, Warehouse Anywhere, a provider of third-party logistics and warehousing solutions. In this role, Syverson will develop, execute and manage company sales, marketing and channel-partner plans, according to a press release.

Syverson has more than two decades of outside-sales and leadership experience. Prior to joining Warehouse Anywhere, he was the sales and business-development manager for e-commerce at FedEx Supply Chain, a third-party logistics provider. In that role, he led a team that managed critical strategic relationships with channel partners and value-add providers, the release stated. He also developed and implemented strategic plans, sales processes and reporting methodologies to drive new customer acquisition. Prior to that, Syverson held the roles of strategic-development executive and district-sales manager at FedEx Services.

“Steve brings a wealth of sales leadership and experience in the logistics and supply-chain industry to Warehouse Anywhere, which will be critical as we expand our third-party logistics and warehousing solutions to corporate and small-business customers,” said Ed Killeen, chief operating officer of Life Storage. “We are thrilled to have a person with Steve’s experience join our team.”

Based in Buffalo, N.Y., Life Storage operates more than 750 self-storage facilities in 28 states and Ontario, Canada. Its portfolio of owned and managed facilities comprises more than 55 million square feet.
