Bancap Honors Touheys 10th Anniversary
Carl Touhey of Bancap Self Storage Group Inc. celebrated the 10th anniversary of his appointment to the firms North California office. He is exclusively dedicated to the brokerage of self-storage investments, with transactions ranging from single projects under $1 million to large portfolios in the tens of millions of dollars. He has been an active leader in the Northern California Storage Operators Network and the Texas Self Storage Association.
Two Promoted at Sentry
Sentry Self Storage promoted two employees: Carlos Dias is now district manager of the South Florida Region and Michele Chong is special project manager.
Supply Side Adds New Hires
Craig Slimmer joined Supply Side as director of sales. He previously worked as the director of sales for Struers, a manufacturer of lab equipment. Slimmer is a graduate of Brockport State University with a degree in personnel management and industrial relations.
Mike Marcotte joined the company as a sales executive, managing all new accounts for the companys moving and storage business in the Northeast. Previously, he held district-manager positions with The Schwan Food Co. and U-Store-It.
Other new Supply Side employees include Virginia Jernejcic, buyer; Jane Williams, IT manager; and Don DeCamara, marketing assistant.
Investment Real Estate Appoints New VP
Dale Gingrich has been appointed vice president of development for Investment Real Estate. His responsibilities include acquisition and development of self-storage projects on behalf of clients. Gingrich is a 20-year veteran of the self-storage industry. Prior to joining IRE, he was a sales representative for Rib Roof Metal Systems. Previous to that, he spent more than nine years with Storage USA as a construction project manager, administering facility development and construction, and as vice president of maintenance, overseeing maintenance and capital-improvement projects.
Two Join PTI Team
PTI Integrated Systems, a provider of access-control and security solutions for the self-storage industry, added Chris Plasari and Bobby Johnson to its staff. Plasari joins as manager of the business development department, where he will manage all customer-focused activities including direct and channel sales. He has more than 10 years of sales experience with companies such as American Express, Avaya and Lucent Technologies. He will help the PTI team identify new customers and dealers in all targeted vertical markets.
Johnson joins the companys Baltimore, Md., office as the business-development representative for the eastern territory. He previously spent nine years as the eastern regional sales manager for Rib Roof Metal Systems.
