Self-Storage Manager/Operator The Jenkins Organization Hires Senior Engineer

The Jenkins Organization Inc. (TJO), a Houston-based real estate company specializing in self-storage acquisition and disposition, development, and property management and ownership, has hired Peter Cairns as senior engineer, based out of the company’s Austin, Texas, office.

“Peter’s wealth of experience and expertise will be a strong addition to our growing development team, and puts us in a unique position to execute on development opportunities with our in-house civil-engineering personnel,” said company owner and president Ricky Jenkins.

Cairns was previously employed with Jones|Carter, a civil-engineering firm in Austin. He earned a master’s degree in engineering from Texas A&M University.

Formed in 1989, TJO manages or owns more than 70 self-storage properties in seven states. Its wholly owned affiliates include TJO 10 x 10 Management and The Storage Web LLC, which offers website design and Internet marketing for TJO properties. The company also focuses on RV parks, with three Great Escape RV Resorts in Colorado, Mississippi and Texas.
