Southeast Region Golf Workshop Combines Education, Recreation

GOLFERS KNOW GREAT PAIRINGS CAN HELP their score--the same holds true for a successful business. At next month's golf workshop, participants can pair up with industry professionals during educational sessions, leisure activities and evening functions to discuss business strategies, share successes and failures, and learn from self-storage experts.

The educational portion of the program is filled with knowledgeable speakers who will share their expertise, not only in their sessions but throughout the workshop. Sessions include:

  • "Marketing: Lessons from the Pro Shop,\" presented by Carol Shipley, United Stor-All Management

  • "Trends in Design and Construction: Master Your Approach,\" with Mitchell Cooke, Cooke Enterprises, and Scott Stinard and Jamie Tuck, Tuck Stinard & Associates

  • "Current Legal Issues: Avoiding Bogeys,\" presented by Scott Zucker, Weissmann & Zucker, P.C.

  • Other sessions target industry technology, site considerations, finance and more.

The workshop employs a casual atmosphere. Attendees are encouraged to kick back and hone their business skills in this spectacular setting. The workshop will be held at the award-winning Renaissance PineIsle Resort, situated on Lake Lanier Island near Atlanta. Golf, tennis, horseback riding, sailing, pontoon boats and water sports are just a few of the recreational activities available. It's a great venue for adults and children.

Self-storage owners, operators and managers should attend, as should industry vendors. Not only will they learn a great deal in the sessions, they will benefit by networking with other professionals in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.

The promotional brochure on the event, with complete details, was mailed out a few weeks ago. To receive a copy, visit, or call 703-921-9123 to register.
