Herro Brothers Gets Green Light for Oconomowac, WI, Self-Storage Facility

Real estate developer Mike Herro of Herro Brothers LLC received approval from city planners this week to build a new self-storage facility in Oconomowac, Wis. Council members unanimously approved the conditional use permit on Jan. 17 for the 3.1-acre property at 1201 Commerce St. Alderman Ken Herro, Mike’s brother, was absent from the meeting, according to the source.

The proposal was recommended by the city planning staff, who noted the storage facility would fit with the surrounding businesses. The plan was then approved by the Oconomowoc Plan Commission at its Jan. 11 meeting. A construction date isn’t yet available, the source reported.

The facility will be built on the city’s south side, comprising 45,740 square feet of storage space in more than four buildings, two of which will be temperature-controlled, the source reported.

Herro Brothers is based in Oconomowac. Mike Herro also owns Oconomowac Realty, and Ken is one of its sales agents, according to the company website.
