Driver of Stolen Vehicle Crashes Into Springfield, MO, Self-Storage Facility

The driver of a stolen car crashed into a self-storage building in Springfield, Missouri, on Wednesday. The accident happened at Mother Road Mini-Storage in the early morning hours, according to the source.

The vehicle’s owner told police they heard a noise outside their home around 4 a.m. When they went to investigate, they discovered their car, which was parked on College Street, was missing.

The driver drove about 100 feet before crashing through the fence at 2201 W. College St. and hitting the storage building. Several units were damaged. The thief fled the scene before officers arrived, the source reported.
